Off-Road Competitive Bike Race/Family Ride

OVERVIEW
This is 20-mile loop off-road competitive bike race and family bike ride. The lap is flat, and goes along side an irrigation canal straight from Bus. 83 in McAllen to Highway 107 in Edinburg and back. The race/ride will start and end at Westside Park on Ware Road in McAllen (across from the new McAllen Convention Center).

Registration fee: $20.00

Male: Youth (14-19 yrs.), Adult (20-39 yrs.), Senior (40+ yrs.)
Female: Youth (14-19 yrs.), Adult (20-39 yrs.), Senior (40+ yrs.)

Purse for each race entry category:
1st place $100.00
2nd place $50.00
3rd place $25.00

FAMILY BIKE RIDE
Family bike ride (20-mile loop) with turn arounds for shorter distances. $5.00 registration fee per rider.
All ages. Raffle tickets for prizes to be given out along the route.

ROUTE
The lap is flat, and runs along side an irrigation canal straight from Bus. 83 in McAllen to Highway 107 in McAllen and back. (The race will begin and end at Westside Park in McAllen (across from the new McAllen Convention Center).

In consideration for the acceptance in my entry, I, for myself, my executers, administrators and assignees do hereby release and discharge Los Caminos Del Rio, the City of McAllen, the City of Edinburg, and sponsors, race officials, volunteers and employees from all claims arising or growing out of my participation in the McCANALenburg Classic Race/Ride. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in these events. I understand there are risks inherent to my participation, including but not limited to, terrain, temperature, weather, equipment, lack of hydration, traffic, and actions of other people. I also hereby grant full permission to the released parties to use photographs and videotape of my person in connection with this event.

I, as parent or guardian of the applicant, represent these facts to be true regarding physical health and inherent risks and give permission for my child to particpate in these events. I further agree, individually and on behalf of my child or ward to the terms of the above agreement.
